Otranto
Otranto is a picturesque town located on the Adriatic side of the Salento peninsula, considered among "The most beautiful villages in Italy", whose popularity is due both to its beautiful beaches, both to its great historical heritage.
Among the best beaches of Otranto there is La Baia dei Turchi, so called for the landing of the Turks in the '400, with white sand and fine and crystal clear sea, surrounded by a pine forest. The beauty of the bay is preserved by the few services in the area, which operate well without disfiguring the landscape. It is the ideal beach for those who love contact with the wild nature.
A stone’s throw from this Bay, is the Alimini Beach, whose sand, of volcanic origin, is not very clear and also has dark shades, which contrast with a crystal clear sea, very shallow for hundreds of meters. The Mulino D'Acqua Beach and Rinule Beach are magnificent not only for the changing colors that assumes the sea water during the different hours of the day, but because immersed in a paradise of rocks and caves.
